Ministries – Old

Adult Sunday School

Begins 9:30am every Sunday morning.  We are blessed with a group of men, gifted with ability and full of desire to teach the authoritative Word of God.  Each leader takes one month in an ongoing rotation.  Our current material is from D6, a curriculum offered through Randall House, the publishing arm of the NAFWB Association

Ladies Night

Once a month our ladies gather together in various houses or venues for fellowship.  These well attended gatherings offer a chance to build authentic community.  Sometimes it’s a lunch out, occasionally, it’s sharing testimonies, bunko, a painting class, or near the holiday’s a simple cookie exchange.  Whatever your preference or personality there is something to enjoy.

Men’s Breakfast

Every other month, our men gather together at the church for a pancake breakfast.  This is a rich time of fellowship, connection, good food, and prayer.  Topics of discussion usually trend toward cultural issues and family life.  We practice the biblical exhortation to “act like men” found in 1 Corinthians 16:13.   Food is provided by the church so come early and bring a big appetite.

College/Young Adults Ministry

Positioned just 8 miles on 460 west from Liberty University, it’s not surprising to find we have a growing and active ministry for college students and young adults. Led by our Associate Pastor Matt Mouser and his wife Danielle, they help this group navigate the trials and blessings of newfound independence.  There are hiking trips, meals, study nights, prayer meetings and bible study just to mention a few additional opportunities for fellowship.  But even more than that this age group servers our fellowship in a multitude of ways.  From greeters, to children’s teachers, to helping lead worship on our Praise Team, these individuals play a critical role in our success as a church.

Youth Group

Our Youth Group is composed of high school students from a variety of local schools.  It is led by Danial Creasy, one of our ordained deacons.  Danial has a passion for the Word of God, sharing it in generous ways, and a seriously funny not so serious side!  The students have opportunities for bible study on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.  The yellow school bus on our campus has been remodeled to become our dedicated Youth space.  It has beanbag chairs, benches, air conditioning, and even an air hockey table.  Monthly activities vary depending on the season but include cookouts, game nights, movies, etc.  Everyone’s favorite is the progressive dinner, enjoying multiple courses at different houses throughout the evening.

Middle School Group

This is our newest ministry.  Due to our growth it became increasingly necessary to build something special for this age group.  It is led by two phenomenal ladies, Karen Rodriguez and Jean Pendell.  Similar to our Youth group the Middle School students are offered special times for bible study on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Fun activities usually include food, games, and a pool party or two during the summer months.

Elementary School and Earlier

It’s hard to believe but this is our largest ministry in terms of participants.  God has graciously blessed our church with young, thriving families.  Classes are distinguished by age, from nursery through 5th grade.  Every service provides age appropriate bible study.  Our two primary curriculum are provided by Answers in Genesis (Sunday School) and Pioneer Clubs (Wednesdays).  Pioneer Clubs is a ministry very similar to the well known AWANA programs but offers us, and the kids, and bit more tailored and personal experience.  2020 will our 9th year offering this exciting and interactive ministry.
