Taylor Pate, IM Missionary to Japan
Taylor Pate, a Florida native, and Tennessee transplant began hearing God’s call to missions at age 14. As a result, she served three years on ETEAM (France, Japan, and Uruguay) and participated in a College Missions Program internship at Hope Alive Church in Japan during her college years. She is now serving her 2 year internship in Hokkaido, Japan working with New Life Church. Taylor primarily works with the New Life Kids program and their church’s different outreach ministries. She is studying Japanese on a weekly basis and hopes to return to Hokkaido after her internship is over.
Brooks and Jennifer Phillips
Brooks and Jennifer Phillips are associate church planters at Connect Church in Burlington, Vermont. They both share a passion for music and worship, as well as working with youth. The Phillips previously served as youth and music leaders at Wildwood FWB Church in Wilson, NC, and they have a daughter named Nora. Recently, God has opened an amazing door for Connect Church to become the point of contact for any donations to foster care in their county allowing them to build relationships with those in need and act as the hands and feet of Jesus in their community.
The Kettemans, IM Missionaries to Japan
Jack and Ashley recently completed a 2.5 year internship and have been appointed to return to Japan as career missionaries. After 14 years of youth/family ministry in the States, they moved to Tokyo near the end of 2018 to join the Hope Alive church-planting team, helping establish a bilingual church in Tokorozawa.
The Kettemans returned to Japan in the Summer of 2022. As new career missionaries, they will be immersed in full-time language school for the next 2 years, all while still participating at Hope Alive.
Harvest is a non-profit child care agency, licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services. In addition, Harvest is affiliated with the Free Will Baptists and the Virginia Association of Children’s Homes. The home officially opened its doors in August 1993 with the intent to care for children who were victims of abuse and neglect. Since that time, the home has served over 1200 children from Virginia with tremendous success.Harvest Child Care Ministries operates an orphanage in Tuxtepec , Oaxaca , Mexico . The orphanage is located on five acres of property on the edge of town. This home serves sixteen boys and sixteen girls between the ages of six and fifteen.
